汉语国际推广多语种大连基地于2009年4月正式在大连外国语大学建成启动。作为为数不多的多语种特色汉语国际推广国家级基地，基地在孔子学院总部/国家汉办的大力支持和正确领导下，积极研究孔子学院建设和汉语国际推广在国家“软实力”建设中的作用及可持续发展战略，在理论和实践两方面探索国际汉语师资培养、教学资源建设，以及教学法改革与创新，努力提升汉语语言文化研究与国际传播的能力。

Dalian Base for International Multilingual Promotion of the Chinese Language was established in April 2009. With the support and leadership of Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) and as one of the few national-level bases for international multilingual promotion of the Chinese language, we have been persisted in conducting researches on the construction of Confucius institutes, the role of international promotion of the Chinese language in China's "soft power" and sustainable development. We are endeavoring to discover the reforming and innovative ways in the cultivation of international Chinese language teachers, building of teaching resources, and teaching methods in theoretical and practical aspects, with the aim to improve the research ability and international publicizing of the Chinese language and culture.

目前，基地已经实现了成立之初设定的“把大连基地建设成为具有鲜明特色和具有较大影响力的国家汉语国际推广基地”规划目标。今后，我们将致力于把汉语国际推广多语种大连基地建设成为全国一流的汉语国际推广基地，支持和促进学校“示范性孔子学院”建设，形成基地建设与孔子学院发展相互支撑、互为依托的良性运行机制，助力地区发展和“一带一路”建设，为加快中华文化走出去步伐，早日实现“中国梦”做出更大贡献。

   So far, the Base has realized the objective of "turning the base into a national-level base for the international multilingual promotion of the Chinese language with distinctive features and great influence". In the future, we will endeavor to build a top-class base for the international multilingual promotion of the Chinese language, to support DLUFL's construction of "demonstrative Confucius institute". In this process, we will strive to form a well-functioning mechanism of mutual dependence between the base and Confucius institutes, to help with local development and the construction of "the Belt and the Road", and to accelerate the "going-out" of the Chinese culture and make great contributions to the realization of "China Dream".
