2010年3月29日，巴西利亚大学孔子学院正式启动运营。2013年7月16日，经孔子学院总部/国家汉办批准，大连外国语大学正式成为巴西利亚大学孔子学院的中方承办院校。

On March 29th, 2010,Confucius Institute of University of Brasilia was formally opened. On July 16th, 2013, DLUFL became the formal Chinese cooperative party for operating Confucius Institute of University of Brasilia under the approvalof Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban).

在国家汉办的领导与支持下，在中国驻巴西使馆和中外方承办院校的指导帮助下，孔子学院在教学、文化推广和学术交流方面取得了显著的成绩。该孔院正力求申办巴大汉语本科专业、培养有资质的汉语教师；在里约和巴西利亚教育局下辖的全日制实验中学和校际语言中心将汉语引入基础教育必修课程。在巴外交部等部委开设高端汉语课程。

With the leadership and support of Hanban, as well as the guidance and help of the Chinese Embassy in Brazil and all relevant universities, the Institute has made remarkable achievements in language teaching, cultural promotion and academic exchanges. The Institute is now endeavoring to establish the undergraduate courses of the Chinese language in University of Brasilia, to cultivate qualified Chinese language teachers, and to introduce Chinese into the compulsory course syllabus of fundamental education in full-time experimental middle schools and interschool language centers under the administration of Ministry of Education in Rio de Janeiro and Brasilia. The Institute started Advanced Chinese Courses at Brazilian central ministries, such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

该孔子学院秉承“和为贵”、“和而不同”的理念，为推动中国文化与世界各国文化的交流与融合做出了较大贡献。

Taking the traditional Chinese philosophy of "harmony is precious" and "harmony without uniformity" as its schooling principle, the Institute has made great contributions to promoting the exchange and integration of Chinese culture and the different cultures of the world.
